My Story

My name is Kathleen Keady Walsh and I started Irish Dancing at the age of 4 and never looked back! Something about the music and the rhythms got into my core and the rest is history! After a successful career as a competitive Irish Dancer, winning the titles of Regional and National Champion and finishing 2nd in the World Championships, I turned professional. I was chosen to perform in the original cast of Michael Flatley's Lord of the Dance and then went on to perform in Riverdance on Broadway at the Gershwin Theatre.  When my performing days ended, myself and my business partner opened the Pender - Keady Academy of Irish Dance in Stamford. After over 20 years of teaching children ages 4 and up, I have learned there is so much to offer to younger children through this energetic art form.  I can't wait to share the gift of Irish dance and music with the next generation of Little Jiggerz!
